American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an acute care hospital position at a Level I Trauma Center, requiring an active SC PT license and experience with adult acute care patients.

Details

• Work setting is an adult acute care unit within a Level I Trauma Center
• Patient population includes total joint replacement, trauma, general medicine, med/surg, transplant, neurosurgery, and neurology cases
• Schedule is Monday–Friday, day shift (8:00 AM–4:30 PM), 5x8-hour shifts
• Weekend rotation coverage required approximately 3 times per contract, with a compensatory weekday off provided
• EMR is Epic
• Role involves working alongside an interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

• Active South Carolina PT license required; candidates with a pending SC license may be considered, but must be fully licensed before reporting to the facility
• Current BLS certification required (AHA only)
• Experience in an acute care setting preferred
• Experience with med/surg, orthopedic, trauma, and neurology patient populations preferred
• SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
• 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include evaluation and treatment of adult acute care patients across a range of diagnoses including total joints, trauma, general medicine, transplant, and neurological conditions
• Orientation modules are completed prior to the start of the assignment
• Candidates who are or have been permanent staff or PRN employees at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible as a traveler
• Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are considered local; non-local candidates are prioritized
• Acceptance of first-time travelers is dependent on the position
• RTO of 7 days or fewer (non-holiday) may be approved without facility review; requests exceeding 7 days or including holidays require facility approval
