American Traveler is hiring a part-time travel RN for an Emergency Department position in Wisconsin, working 2 shifts per week on a day schedule with weekend and holiday rotation requirements.

Details

• Emergency Department setting
• Day shift schedule: 7am–7pm
• 2 shifts per week (part-time)
• Every 3rd weekend required
• Holiday rotation required
• Patient population spans all ages, from pediatric to geriatric
• Patients may present anywhere along the continuum from illness to wellness

Requirements

• Active WI RN license or compact license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC
• Minimum two-year nursing degree required; four-year degree preferred
• Proficiency in computer-based clinical documentation
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy required
• Ability to perform triage using the Emergency Severity Index (ESI) 5-level triage system
• DOB and SSN may be required for consideration

Additional Information

• Performs age-appropriate assessments and provides direct patient care across all age groups
• Conducts ESI 5-level triage assessments for presenting patients
• Administers IV fluids, blood products, and other parenteral fluids; monitors life support and automated technical equipment
• Collaborates with physicians, peers, and ancillary departments to coordinate multi-patient care efficiently
• Responds to emergencies and high-stress situations in a calm, organized manner
• Participates in patient and family education, including discharge planning and teaching
• Contributes to educational experiences for pre-hospital emergency providers and students
• Ensures rooms are stocked and equipment checklists are completed at the end of each shift
