American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Behavioral Health Inpatient Psychiatric position in Englewood, CO, requiring at least 2 years of experience and a CO or compact RN license.

Details

• Inpatient behavioral health hospital setting with 96 beds across 4 units (20–26 patients per unit)
• Patient populations include adolescents (ages 13–17) and adults (18+) across Mental Wellness, Acute, and Dual Diagnosis/Substance Use Disorder (SUD) units
• Patient ratios are approximately 1:12 on Adolescent, Adult Mental Wellness, and Adult Acute units, and 1:10 on the Adult Dual Diagnosis/SUD unit
• Average patient length of stay is 7–10 days in an acute stabilization setting
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (19:00–07:00)
• Floating to all 4 units may be required as needed
• On-call responsibilities include responding to call/text notifications for shift openings or call-outs
• EHR system: HCS
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active CO RN license or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required (RQI-issued certifications are not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Behavioral health or psychiatric nursing experience strongly preferred
• De-escalation skills required
• Experience with CIWA and COWS protocols preferred
• Medical or dual diagnosis experience preferred
• Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Social Security number required for consideration
• Date of birth required for consideration
• Candidates must not be employed full-time elsewhere
