American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position in Rochester, NY, requiring an active NY RN license in hand and Epic EMR experience.

Details

• 39-bed Acute Stroke Unit in a 528-bed tertiary care hospital, specializing in acute stroke patients, neurological disorders, and acute medical patients
• Day/Night rotating shifts, 4x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:00 / 19:00–7:00)
• Every other weekend required
• Patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:7
• Unit utilizes Epic EMR
• Skills required include interpretation and management of cardiac dysrhythmias, rapid response and code team participation, peripheral IV line care and management, respiratory support (nasal cannula, oxygen face masks, portable oxygen, non-invasive airway management), and isolation precautions
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NY RN license currently in hand — no exceptions
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• Epic EMR experience required
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained

• Unit practices an adjustable acuity delivery of care model with a focus on evidence-based stroke care during primary prevention and acute care phases
• Scrub color: any combination of navy and white
