American Traveler is hiring an experienced Behavioral Health RN for a float pool position at a large inpatient psychiatric facility in Maryland, requiring at least 2 years of nursing experience including psychiatric/behavioral health background.

Details

• Float pool position covering all 19 inpatient units across a 337-bed psychiatric hospital
• Patient population includes children, adolescents, and adults across all inpatient behavioral health units
• Evening shift: 5x8-hour shifts, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required across all inpatient units as needed
• No on-call requirements
• Charting system: Sunrise
• Free parking available on campus
• Local candidates are accepted

Requirements

• Active RN license in Maryland or a Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• At least 6 months to 1 year of psychiatric or behavioral health experience required
• Strong clinical judgment, patient assessment, delegation, and leadership skills required
• Copies of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Fingerprinting must be completed in Maryland prior to start

Additional Information

• Float pool nurses are expected to be among the more experienced clinicians on staff, covering all 19 inpatient behavioral health units
• RNs may be assigned to serve as charge nurse during a shift as needed
