American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position requiring at least 1 year of experience, BLS and ACLS certifications, and an active GA or compact RN license.

Details

• Hospital-based Cath Lab unit serving an adult to geriatric patient population
• Average daily census of 8–10 patients across 3 rooms with 5 beds
• Required skills include circulating procedures, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and procedural sedation administration and monitoring
• EMR: Epic; also uses Pyxis and SBAR documentation
• Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts (7:00–17:30)
• Every third weekend required
• Approximately 10 call days per month required
• Floating within facility scope of practice as needed; possibility of floating to a sister campus location

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab RN experience required
• Copies of required certifications must be provided for consideration
• Two supervisory references (manager level or above; charge nurses not accepted) are highly preferred for consideration

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates are accepted
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• RTO maximum is 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
• If one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO permitted; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler must work two and may request one holiday off for approval
• Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday (counted as one), Christmas Eve/Christmas Day (counted as one), and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day (counted as one)
• No special scheduling requests or alternate shifts are permitted
• Travelers who have previously worked at any facility in this health system must have been away for a full year before returning as a traveler
• No schedule conflicts or alternate shift requests will be accommodated
