American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR Circulating RN with strong orthopedic and MAKO robotics experience for a 13-week travel contract in an acute care surgical hospital setting.

Details

• Acute care surgical hospital setting with 11 OR suites and 1 GI suite
• OR Circulating role handling 30–50 cases per day
• Primarily orthopedic procedures including total joints (MAKO), arthroscopy, spine, foot and ankle, hand, and ORIF; also some general, ENT, GYN, and plastics cases
• MAKO robotic system utilized in the unit
• EMR: Epic
• 10-hour day shifts with on-call requirements
• Approximately 1–2 weekday call shifts per month and 1 weekend call shift for the duration of the assignment
• Late shift coverage may be required (starting at 1630) if short-staffed
• No floating to other units or departments
• Scrubs provided (Ceil Blue)

Requirements

• Active SD RN license or compact RN license required
• Current AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications required (AHA-issued only)
• Minimum 3 years of recent OR circulator experience required
• Strong orthopedic surgical experience required, including total joints and arthroscopy
• Robotics experience required; MAKO experience highly preferred
• Two current professional references required: one from a supervisor within the last 12 months of relevant experience, and one from a peer or supervisor within the last 3 years in the same specialty
• Copies of all certifications must be active at time of consideration — no pending certifications accepted
• Resume must reflect no employment gaps greater than 30 days

Additional Information

• Circulate for a high-volume orthopedic and multi-specialty surgical program
• Candidates who have previously worked at any Sanford Health location must disclose that employment; a minimum 6-month gap between the end date of prior Sanford employment and the start of this assignment is required
• Candidates residing within 80 miles of the facility are eligible but will be subject to a reduced pay rate
• Completion of a written interview questionnaire is part of the consideration process; candidates who meet the unit's needs will advance to a manager interview
