American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position at an ambulatory health system campus, with a combined adult/pediatric ED and float requirements across multiple campuses.

Details

• Combined adult and pediatric Emergency Department setting
• 18-bed ED unit with an average daily census of 75 patients
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required, with additional weekend availability appreciated
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• Float required between all health system campuses
• Epic EMR experience is mandatory

Requirements

• Active NC or Compact RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and PALS
• TNCC certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Emergency Department experience required, including triage
• Proficiency in dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Phlebotomy and IV insertion skills required
• Charge RN experience preferred
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• All RNs must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during compliance, with two attempts allowed — study materials are not provided by the facility, so candidates should prepare in advance
