American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for an Emergency Department (Night Shift) position in Tucson, AZ, requiring 2 years of ED experience and Cerner proficiency at a Trauma Level III, Stroke and STEMI Receiving facility.

• Emergency Department setting within a 38-bed unit at a Trauma Level III Certified, Stroke Receiving, and STEMI Receiving facility in Tucson, AZ
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (3x12s)
• 13-week contract
• Cerner EMR — experience required
• Floating is required
• Charge nurse experience preferred

Requirements

• Active AZ RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required; no certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience required
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Valid US driver's license required
• US Social Security Number required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• Responsible for shift accountability in the ED using the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and facility policy
• Demonstrates critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership in planning and delivering safe patient care in the ED
• Delegates patient care priorities based on the education and experience of available staff, and provides direction and supervision to assigned personnel
• NIHSS certification is not required but is recommended
• Black scrubs required
• RTO requests must be less than one week in duration
• Candidates who have worked at any CHS facility as permanent staff within the past 2 years are not eligible for this position
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius of the facility are not eligible
