Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Acute Dialysis position in an inpatient setting, requiring BLS certification and dialysis or critical care nursing experience.

Details

• Inpatient dialysis unit setting
• Schedule follows a Mon/Wed/Fri pattern, with a Tue/Thu/Sat schedule also possible depending on patient needs
• Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (3x12-hour shifts)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license (Standard or Compact) currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• Certification in Nephrology Nursing (CNN) preferred; Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN) certification encouraged
• 1–2 years of experience in dialysis or critical care nursing preferred
• Experience with hemodialysis machines and dialysis protocols strongly preferred
• BSN preferred
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and maneuver heavy equipment, and assist patients with mobility
• Able to work in a latex-burdened environment
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copy of Driver's License and Social Security Card required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsible for managing dialysis procedures and monitoring patient health throughout treatments
• Supervises LPNs, nursing assistants, dialysis technicians, and students
• Works cooperatively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team, reporting to the Nurse Manager/Director
• Must be able to work in a high-stress environment requiring constant patient monitoring and attention
