Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVOR RN for a cardiovascular operating room position requiring scrub experience for open CVOR cases and TAVR, with night shift availability and on-call responsibilities.

Details

• Work setting is a hospital CVOR unit with floating to the Main OR when no CVOR cases are scheduled
• Patient population includes adult open heart surgery cases such as CABG, and valve procedures (aortic, mitral, and pulmonic)
• Specialized procedures include TAVR, laser lead extractions, and ECMO
• Required familiarity with devices including Impella, HeartMate, and ECMO
• Charting performed in Epic
• Night shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, 21:00–07:30
• No block schedule
• On-call requirement of 32 hours per month
• Local candidates are accepted

Requirements

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required; CNOR preferred
• Minimum 3 years of CVOR/OR nursing experience required
• Scrub experience for open CVOR cases and TAVR required
• Experience with devices including Impella, HeartMate, ECMO, and laser lead extractions required
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Two current professional references required for consideration
• Previous RWJBH staff (full-time or PRN) must have been separated from the health system for a minimum of 1 year to be eligible

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will be considered, though experienced candidates are strongly preferred
• Scrubs are provided by the hospital
• Epic EMR is used for charting
