American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Director of Nursing (DON) / Supervisor role in a Skilled Nursing and Long-Term Care setting, requiring a BSN and prior supervisory experience in a WI SNF/LTC facility.

Details

• Work setting is a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) and Long-Term Care (LTC) unit located within a hospital and trauma center
• Serves a long-term care and transitional care resident population
• Schedule is Monday through Friday day shift with 24/7 accountability
• Full-time position at 80 hours per two-week pay period

Requirements

• Active WI RN license or compact license currently in hand
• BSN required
• Current BLS/BCLS certification required
• Minimum 2–4 years of supervisory experience in long-term care nursing, or demonstrated leadership/management experience in an LTC facility
• Must have prior experience working in a WI SNF/LTC facility
• Working knowledge of reimbursement systems and State and Federal LTC regulations, including TJC standards

Additional Information

• Responsible for coordinating and facilitating nursing care activities to improve continuity of care across the care continuum
• Assists facility administration with developing and implementing policies and procedures to meet Federal and State regulatory requirements
• Provides staff education to ensure ongoing competency and leads hiring, training, evaluation, and delegation of nursing staff
• Oversees quality data reporting including falls, skin integrity, psychotropic medication use, and chart compliance
• Acts as a patient advocate and interdisciplinary resource for residents, families, and staff
• Coordinates nursing services with other resident services and oversees case management activities
• Responsible for infection control practices and input into the departmental budget process
• 13-week contract
