Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position at a Level 1 trauma hospital, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ER experience and a TN or compact RN license in hand.

Details

• Work setting is a large hospital Emergency Department with Level 1 trauma designation
• Night shift schedule: 7p–7a, 4x12-hour shifts per week (48 hours/week, firm)
• Scheduled days: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• Floating between like units and campuses within 20 miles may occasionally be required

Requirements

• Active RN license — TN state license or Compact (NLC) license required; no pending licensure accepted
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience with prior travel nursing experience, or 3 years of ER experience without travel experience (strictly enforced)
• Large hospital and Level 1 trauma center experience required
• ADN is the minimum required education for this position
• Current BLS certification required; any certifications expiring during the assignment must have a documented renewal plan
• Driver's License required for consideration
• At least one completed prior travel assignment required; first-time travelers are not eligible

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
• Former permanent employees or internal associate travelers must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible to return as a traveler
• If Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's fall within the assignment period, travelers must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 holidays; if only 2 of those holidays fall within the assignment, travelers must be willing to work at least 1
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront; RTO requested after an offer is made will not be considered
• Vaccination status must be provided
