American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pre-Op Evaluation Center position at a large academic medical center, requiring PACU experience and Epic proficiency in a Monday–Friday day shift schedule.

Details

• Work setting is a Pre-Op Evaluation Center within a large academic medical center (500+ bed facility)
• Responsibilities are performed on-site and include pre-op phone calls, chart reviews, and clinic session support
• Patient care involves pre-surgical screening, education, and care coordination
• Cardiac education provided to approximately 1–2 patients per day (~15 minutes each), rotating among nurses
• EMR: Epic (Optime module)
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (Day shift, 8-hour shifts)
• 40 hours per week
• No weekends, no holidays, and no on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active MD or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2.5 years of RN experience required
• PACU experience required
• Experience at a facility with 500+ beds required
• Pre-op, PACU, or OR experience preferred
• Epic (Optime) experience preferred
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• One professional reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform pre-op phone calls and chart reviews for patient prep screening and education
• Support clinic sessions by assisting with medication instructions for day of surgery and creating/reviewing after-visit summaries
• Assist providers with care coordination
• Local candidates are accepted at the same pay rate
