American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Medical ICU night shift position requiring a minimum of 2 years of critical care experience and an active AR or compact RN license.

• Medical ICU unit within an acute care hospital setting
• 32-bed Medical ICU with patient ratios of 2:1 to 3:1
• Night shift schedule: 6:45 PM – 7:00 AM, 3x12s
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Float requirements include stepdown and med/surg units
• EMR: Epic
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active AR or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS
• CCRN preferred
• Minimum 2 years of critical care (ICU) experience required
• Valid U.S. Social Security Number required; Canadian SINs are not accepted
• No gaps in employment of 90+ days within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• All nurses providing direct patient care must pass a medication and math competency exam (passing grade: 90%) before assuming medication administration responsibilities; the exam may be retaken once
• Scrub color: black; open-toe shoes are not permitted
• Up to 5 days of RTO is allowed but must be made up during the assignment
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but are subject to a reduced bill rate
• Local candidates within 50 miles are limited to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts before a mandatory separation or transfer is required
• Unit culture is described as fast-paced, seeking upbeat and driven nurses
