American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Mother-Baby/Couplet Care/Post Partum position requiring a MO or compact license, Cerner experience, and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

Details

• Inpatient Mother-Baby/Couplet Care/Post Partum unit
• Night shift schedule: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM (3x12-hour shifts)
• Every third weekend required
• Patient ratio of 1:3
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Level 2 care experience required
• Couplet care model with both maternal and newborn patients

Requirements

• Active MO RN license or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of Mother-Baby/Post Partum nursing experience required
• Level 2 unit experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required — no exceptions
• Cerner EMR experience required — no exceptions
• Required skills include: administration of blood/blood products, CVC/PICC line management, peripheral IV insertion and maintenance, medication administration (anticonvulsants, antihypertensives, heparin, insulin drips, magnesium sulfate therapy, oxytocin, opioids, IV antibiotics), newborn assessment, neonatal abstinence syndrome care, couplet care, baby-friendly protocols, circumcision assist, cord care, car seat education, discharge teaching, incision care, isolation precautions, phlebotomy, vaccine administration, and pain assessment
• Preferred skills include: phototherapy, circumcision care parent education, thermoregulation, management of LGA and low birth weight infants, epidural and PCA IV pain management, and breastfeeding pump support
• Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Charge nurse experience is preferred
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate — no radius restriction applies
