American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Behavioral Health Float Pool position at a large inpatient psychiatric facility, requiring at least 2 years of nursing experience with a background in psych/behavioral health.

Details

• Float pool position covering all 19 inpatient behavioral health units within a 337-bed psychiatric facility
• Patient population includes children, adolescents, and adults across inpatient psychiatric units
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required across all units and age populations as scheduling demands
• No on-call requirements
• Charting system: Sunrise
• Free parking available throughout the campus

Requirements

• Active RN license (Maryland or Compact) required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• At least 6 months to 1 year of experience in a psychiatric or behavioral health setting required
• Strong clinical judgment, assessment, delegation, and leadership skills required
• Driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

• Float pool RNs serve as among the more experienced nurses on the unit and may be assigned charge RN responsibilities during a shift
• Fingerprinting must be completed in Maryland prior to start
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Local candidates are accepted
• Maximum of 1 pre-approved RTO allowed for the duration of the contract
