American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU - Respiratory Care Unit position requiring a minimum of 3 years of critical care experience and an active FL or compact RN license.

Details

• High acuity ICU setting, specifically a Respiratory Care Unit
• Patient population includes acute and chronically ill patients requiring ventilator support
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is 3:1, with a maximum of 4:1 depending on staffing
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required as needed
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• Epic EMR used; experience is required
• Cerner experience preferred

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration
• Current certifications required (must be in hand): BLS and ACLS via AHA, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 3 years of recent critical care experience with acute/chronically ill patients requiring ventilator support
• Trauma and Neuro experience required
• Nursing degree from an accredited school, or from an institution approved by the Florida Board of Nursing (FBON) plus 2 years of recent, consecutive acute care experience within the past 24 months in a US hospital
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must pass a Basic Arrhythmia/EKG assessment (pass/fail)
• Proof of vaccination status required; declinations are not accepted
• Travel pairs will not be considered

Additional Information

• Charge RN, SICU, MICU, Trauma, and Stroke experience are preferred
• Cerner experience is preferred
• This is a smoke-free facility
• Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are eligible and considered at a local rate
• A dysrhythmia re-exam (Dysrhythmia Exam B via Relias) may be required if the initial arrhythmia assessment is not passed; re-take must be completed within 24 hours and meet minimum score thresholds (83% overall Angoff score, 100% in lethal rhythm section, 83% in all other sections)
