Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position in Michigan, requiring a minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg experience and availability for night shifts with every other weekend rotation.

Details

• Hospital-based Med/Surg unit environment
• Patient population includes a mix of medical and specialty patients across ortho/neurovascular, cardio/pulmonary, GI, urology, and surgical cases (hysterectomies and mastectomies)
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• 36 or 48 hour weeks available
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6 on nights; may flex to 1:7-8 with LPN support
• Every other weekend required
• Floating to other Med/Surg units required, typically once per week based on unit needs
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active Michigan RN license required
• BLS certification (AHA) required; pending certification may be accepted with confirmation of intent to obtain
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg RN experience required; 2 years strongly preferred

Additional Information

• Must be available for the first 2 weeks of the assignment for orientation
• Collaborative team environment with RNs, LPNs, and techs
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated at this time
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility will be paid at a local rate
• A March 23rd start is strongly preferred; an April 6th start will be considered
