American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring night shift availability, Level 1 trauma experience, and advanced fetal monitoring certification.

• Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts (36 hours per week)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license (Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or multistate compact/eNLC)
• Current certifications required (all from AHA): BLS, ACLS
• Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certificate required
• NRP Advanced Provider or NRP Instructor certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required; 5 years preferred
• At least 2 years of travel nursing experience required
• Level 1 trauma experience required
• Associate's Degree from an accredited nursing program required; BSN or MSN preferred
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients, documenting responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
• Obtains and monitors physiological data, intervening as necessary based on patient condition changes
• Administers medications, initiates and monitors IV infusions and blood products
• Assists physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Educates patients and families on care plans and hospital procedures, and makes referrals to appropriate personnel as needed
• Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period after 26 cumulative weeks before being eligible for a new contract
• Compliance deadlines are strictly enforced; candidates must be prepared to begin onboarding immediately upon acceptance of an offer
