American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Combination Unit position in Elko, NV, requiring at least 1 year of experience and active NV RN and ACLS/PALS certifications.

Details

• Acute Care Services floor in a Joint Commission-accredited hospital setting
• 23-bed Med/Surg Combination Unit serving pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient populations
• Specialty areas covered include Medicine, Surgery, Telemetry, and Pediatrics
• Common diagnoses and treatments include COPD, CHF, pre/post Cath Lab, orthopedic and general surgery, and acute respiratory failure (adult and pediatric)
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Equipment includes Omnicell Medication Dispensers, Baxter pumps, Masimo Monitors, and GE Telemetry Monitoring system
• EMR: MEDHOST
• 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Potential to float to other departments based on patient census and departmental needs
• On-call requirements as per contract

Requirements

• Active NV RN license required
• Active BLS certification required
• ACLS required (up to 60 days after start date to obtain)
• PALS required (up to 90 days after start date to obtain)
• RQI certifications are not accepted
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
• Med/Surg and telemetry experience preferred
• Social Security number required for consideration
• Date of birth required for consideration
• COVID vaccination card required for consideration
• Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate

• Fit testing for respiratory protection is available on-site for travelers
• No mandatory scrub color — any color scrubs are acceptable
• Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
