American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring night shift availability, MS/Telemetry experience, and every-other-weekend coverage.

Details

• 12-hour night shifts, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital setting
• Patient population requires management of drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Heparin, and Nitroglycerin
• Progressive Care/Step-Down or ICU experience candidates may manage additional vasoactive drips (Levophed, Nicardipine, Dopamine, Milrinone, Neosynephrine, Dobutamine)
• EMR: Altera Sunrise (formerly Allscripts); prior experience not required, noted to be very similar to Cerner
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Some holiday coverage required
• Travelers are first to float, based on skillset

Requirements

• Active MO RN license or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS required; NIHSS required; TNCC required for ICU-level candidates only
• Minimum of MS/Telemetry experience required
• Progressive Care (Step-Down) or ICU experience preferred
• New graduates will not be considered
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Orientation consists of a structured multi-day program: 2-day health system orientation, followed by facility-specific orientation, clinical orientation, and unit-level orientation
• Local and travel candidates are accepted at the same rate; candidates near the Great Bend campus must reside outside a 60-mile radius to be eligible
