American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery night shift position requiring at least 1-2 years of recent L&D experience and fetal monitoring proficiency.

Details

• Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (18:45–07:15)
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1–1:2
• Performs fetal monitoring (basic and intermediate), medication titrations (oxytocin/magnesium), cervical dilation checks, labor management, C-section RN circulator duties, and PACU recovery of C-section patients
• Peripheral line care/management and isolation precaution/PPE protocols in use
• Epic EMR used for computerized documentation; experience preferred

Requirements

• Active RN license (Standard or Compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS and NRP
• Minimum 1–2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required
• Basic and intermediate fetal monitoring skills required
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
• Travel pairs or groups will not be considered
• Previous travel experience preferred; first-time traveler eligibility — check with your recruiter
