American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Oncology Infusion Clinic position requiring at least one year of RN experience and ONS chemotherapy certification, with weekend and holiday availability required.

Details

• Outpatient oncology infusion clinic setting serving adult patients
• 4 days per week, 10-hour day shifts (schedule may vary to include 12-hour and 8-hour shifts within a given week)
• Clinic operates 7 days per week; weekend and holiday availability required
• Primary focus on chemotherapy and immunotherapy administration, IV infusions, and blood product management
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active OK RN license or current multistate compact (eNLC) RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required
• ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration certificate required
• ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate required
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Proficiency in IV infusion, chemotherapy administration, and medication management
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Administers PO and SC injections, chemotherapy agents, other medications, IV infusions, and blood products as ordered
• Monitors and documents patient physiological data, responses to nursing interventions, and changes in physician orders
• Provides chemotherapy education to patients and families and supports care coordination including referrals and post-visit phone triage
• Assists physicians during conscious sedation and minor diagnostic procedures
• Delegates appropriate tasks to support staff
• BSN is preferred but not required
• Travelers who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation after completing 26 weeks (one contract plus one extension) before being eligible to return
