Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position with stroke/neuro focus, requiring KY or compact licensure and PCU or telemetry experience.

Details

• Hospital-based Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting with a stroke focus
• Possibility of floating to other PCUs within the facility as needed
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Requires working 5–6 weekend shifts per 6-week period
• Holiday coverage is required

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration — no licensure hits will be accepted
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Progressive Care, Med/Surg Acute Care, or Telemetry experience required
• EKG interpretation experience required
• Neuro/stroke experience preferred
• ICU experience is a plus
• 2 supervisor references from within the last 3 years required for consideration
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted

Additional Information

• Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 6 months before returning to this facility as a traveler
• All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of submission — RTO requests made after submission will not be approved
