American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Medical/Surgical Ortho position at a Level I Trauma Center, requiring prior ortho and travel experience.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting, Level I Trauma Center
• Medical/Surgical Orthopedic unit
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:00)
• On-call required as needed
• Weekends required as needed; weekend block schedule may be considered
• Team nursing ratios (details to be discussed with manager during interview)
• Floating may occur between like units and campuses within 20 miles
• Cerner EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active TN or Compact RN license — no pending licensure accepted
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required (3+ preferred)
• Orthopedic nursing experience required
• Level I Trauma Center experience required
• Large hospital experience required
• Prior travel assignment experience required — first-time travelers will not be considered
• ADN degree minimum required for this position
• Driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of initial consideration; RTO requests submitted after an offer is made are not guaranteed and must be coordinated directly with the manager
• If Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's all fall within the assignment period, the traveler must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 holidays; if only 2 holidays fall within the assignment, at least 1 must be covered
• Former permanent employees or internal associate travelers must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible to return as a traveler
