American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVOR RN with open heart surgery experience and scrubbing ability for a cardiovascular OR travel assignment requiring weekend call coverage.

Details

• Hospital-based Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) setting
• Procedures include open heart surgery, CABG, TAVR, MAZE procedure, mitral valve replacement, IABP, LVAD/RVAD, aortic aneurysm repair, thoracic procedures (lobe resection, thoracotomy, VATS), and vascular procedures (AAA repair, AV fistula repair, carotid endarterectomy, carotid angioplasty/stenting, femoral popliteal bypass graft)
• Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Weekend call required: 4 shifts per 6-week schedule
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license — MD state license or Compact license required
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required
• Open heart surgery OR experience required
• Must be able to scrub cardiovascular surgery cases
• Two supervisor references from within the past 2 years required

• Candidates who were previously employed at this health system must have been separated for a minimum of one year before being considered
• Local candidates within a 60-mile radius are accepted
• No RTO is permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment; no more than 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract, and all RTO must be disclosed upfront
• Compliance modules are completed prior to start and potentially during orientation; all assigned modules must be completed within one week of contract signing
• Labs and DS appointment must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
