Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring at least 1 year of IR, cath lab, or critical care experience, with an active VA or compact RN license.

Details

• Hospital-based Interventional Radiology setting with 2 IR suites
• Performs basic IR procedures — no neuro or cardiac cases
• Common procedures include peripheral angios, endovascular repair, PICCs, paracentesis/thoracentesis, and embolizations
• Patient population spans young adults (18–45), older adults (45–60), and geriatric patients (60+)
• Average caseload of 4–6 cases per day
• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM with an after-hours and weekend on-call rotation shared among 7 RNs (approx. 3 call shifts per week)
• 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts
• EMR: Epic (Cupid module)

Requirements

• Active RN license in the Commonwealth of Virginia or a valid Compact RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Minimum 1 year of experience in IR, Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab, Electrophysiology Lab, ICU, ED, or Progressive Cardiac Care
• Proficiency with IV insertion and management
• Must be able to respond on-site within 30 minutes when on call

• All cases are completed within the IR lab
• On-call rotation is shared with 6 other RNs, covering after-hours and weekends
• Holiday coverage includes 1 major and 1 minor holiday
• Scrubs are provided (maroon)
• Unit orientation is approximately 1 week
• Epic Cupid module experience preferred
