American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Case Manager for a hospital-based Case Management position in Washington, DC, requiring an active DC RN license in hand and at least 2 years of case management experience.

Details

• Monday through Friday day shift schedule, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (5x8 hours)
• Hospital-based acute care setting with Case Management, Utilization Review, and Discharge Planning responsibilities
• No on-call or weekend requirements for travel staff
• No floating required
• Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are considered local and eligible at a different rate

Requirements

• Active DC RN license currently in hand — pending licensure will not be accepted
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Case Management RN required
• LMSW or LCSW with a minimum 2 years of strong hospital case management experience will also be considered
• Current BLS certification required
• Acute hospital experience preferred, particularly in the ED, ICU, or MS settings
• Two supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Flu vaccination required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include case management, utilization review, and discharge planning in an acute hospital setting
• Must be able to independently manage a full CM caseload within 1–2 weeks of starting
• Business casual or scrubs attire are both acceptable
• No onsite parking is available — parking is located off-site
• First-time travelers with appropriate case management experience are welcome to apply
• Candidates who were previously employed with this health system must have been separated for a minimum of one year before being eligible to return as a traveler
• No RTO is permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment; no more than 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract, and all RTO must be disclosed upfront
• A manager interview is not guaranteed — candidates should be comfortable proceeding without one
