American Traveler seeks an experienced RNFA for a CV Surgery Department position in a hospital OR performing cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures with on-call and weekend rotation requirements.

• Position is in the hospital operating room assisting in the CV Surgery Department
• Involves assisting with cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgeries including endoscopic vein and radial artery harvesting
• Work schedule is four 10-hour day shifts, 7:00am to 5:30pm
• Weekday and weekend call required on a 1 in 4 rotation
• Patient care provided in a Level 1 Trauma hospital
• Epic EMR is used, with training provided during orientation

Requirements

• Active MI RN license required by start date, compact license not accepted
• Current CRNFA certification required
• At least 1 year of acute hospital OR RNFA experience preferred
• Experience assisting with cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgeries required
• Proof of high school education required
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• AHA certifications preferred

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include first assisting in complex CV procedures, including vein and arterial harvesting
• Team includes two cardiothoracic surgeons and three vascular surgeons
• Completion of required modules prior to start is expected
• Holiday and weekend coverage required per rotation schedule
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travelers
• First-time travelers are accepted for consideration
• Must adhere to a 5-day maximum RTO policy per assignment
• Staff who left the facility must wait one year before being considered for rehire
