American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Stepdown/ICU position requiring ICU experience and night shifts in New Jersey.

Details

• Position is in a Stepdown Unit (SDU) within a hospital setting
• Cares for a diverse patient population from pediatric to geriatric
• Unit specializes in post-surgical and stepdown level care
• Work schedule consists of 12-hour night shifts from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., three shifts per week
• EPIC is used for electronic medical records and documentation
• Floating may be required to a nearby sister hospital

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of previous ICU experience is required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (no local candidates)
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position

Additional Information

• Provides comprehensive assessments and delivers patient care from admission through discharge
• Demonstrates expertise in emergency equipment and procedures specific to surgical patient care
• Responsible for accurate documentation of patient progress and care delivered using EPIC
• Educates patients and families throughout the perioperative process, including pre- and post-operative phases
• Expected to follow all safety protocols, including the use of two patient identifiers
• Team-based environment focused on professionalism and patient-centered care
