American Traveler is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a day shift rehabilitation position in a long-term care and skilled nursing setting, with BLS certification and at least one year of experience required.

Details

• Work in a long-term care (LTC) and skilled nursing facility (SNF) environment
• Assignment includes patient care in both SNF and home health settings
• Day shifts with 8-hour shifts, no weekends, and no holidays
• May require travel to multiple locations: Pipestone, Luverne, and Edgerton
• Utilizes Point Click Care (PCC) for charting in SNF, Net Health, and HCHB for home health documentation
• Geriatric patient population with a productivity expectation of 85%
• Mileage and drive time are paid between locations and for home health visits

Requirements

• Active COTA license in the state of practice required if applicable
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a COTA in a rehabilitation, long-term care, or geriatric setting
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Basic communication and speech/language pathology skills
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Additional Information

• Provide therapeutic interventions, assess client needs, and develop individualized therapy plans
• May supervise therapy assistants according to federal and state regulations
• Facilitate client independence in daily living activities per care plans
• Document all provided services and communicate relevant changes to physicians and interdisciplinary team members
• No weekend or holiday coverage required
• Orientation and training are available for new graduates
