Description

American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with 1-2 years' experience preferred for a mixed inpatient, outpatient, and home health role in a critical access hospital setting.

Details

• Work in a critical access hospital covering inpatient, outpatient, and home health care settings
• Primary patient population is adults over 30 with rare pediatric cases
• Typical schedule is Monday through Friday, day shifts, with flexible hours based on department needs
• Home health assignments are 1-4 visits per week, with the remainder of the week spent on inpatient/outpatient care
• Weekly team meetings via Zoom for case conferencing on home health patients
• Computerized charting is performed using Cerner EHR
• Shift length is generally 8 hours

Requirements

• Active Occupational Therapist license for the state of Nebraska required if applicable
• Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred
• Current BLS certification required
• Experience with Cerner EHR preferred but not required
• Comfort making independent home visits

Additional Information

• Primary responsibilities include delivering occupational therapy to adult patients in their homes and in the hospital's rehab unit
• Pediatric and hospice cases are rare but possible
• Collaborate with a team that includes skilled nurses and physical therapists
• Professional casual dress code is required
• Training provided one-on-one with agency staff until documentation competence is achieved and includes a standard checklist
• Vehicles available for work travel or reimbursement provided for use of personal vehicle
