American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for home health services in Hawaii, requiring 1 year of home health experience and a HI license.

Details

• Home health setting serving adult and geriatric patients in Kaua‘i
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hour shifts from 8:00 to 16:30
• Occasional floating to Oahu, Maui, and the Big Island with expenses covered
• Productivity requirement of 25 units per week
• MatrixCare EMR documentation is used

Requirements

• Current BLS (AHA) certification required
• HI Occupational Therapist license required
• Minimum 1 year of home health experience required
• Experience in geriatrics, neurology, orthopedics, and adaptive devices required
• Skilled in home health assessments, plan of care, OASIS, discharge, and reassessments
• Ability to use MatrixCare EMR system
• Proficient with assistive devices, body mechanics, pain assessment, and vital signs

Additional Information

• Provide OT assessments, develop and implement care plans, and deliver therapy to patients in their homes
• Educate patients and families on exercise programs, safety, and injury prevention
• Work with patients recovering from orthopedic, neurological, and chronic conditions such as COPD, CHF, and CVA
• Occasional floating to other islands may be required, with paid expenses
• First-time travelers are welcome
• Scrubs of any color and closed-toed shoes are required
• Preferred skills include wound care, acute care, lymphedema management, and neurodevelopmental techniques
