American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant with a minimum of 1 year of experience for a 13-week post-acute care assignment in Santa Rosa, CA.

• Post-acute care setting focused on rehabilitation therapy
• Full-time schedule of 40 hours per week
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Current, active PTA license in the state of California required (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a PTA
• Proficiency with Casamba and Point Click Care EMR systems
• Must maintain continuing education requirements per state practices

Additional Information

• Treat patients per the physician treatment plan under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
• Document daily treatment notes, weekly progress notes, and treatment changes per policy
• Assist with training of Restorative Aides in the nursing department and provide caregiver training in preparation for patient discharge
• Participate in Patient Care and Rehabilitation Conferences and in-service training programs for facility staff
• Communicate patient progress, problems, and care plans with supervisors and the broader health care team
• This is a non-supervisory position
